You know what's scarier than Halloween? The fact that tomorrow is November. November means busy busy busy for me. I have papers and presentations and college to keep up with. I have read-a-thons to keep up with. I have two birthdays to celebrate. And on top of everything, I decide to write a novel.
NaNoWriMo should certainly be an interesting experience. If you are wondering what I am writing about, I'll give you a brief synopsis. They say that it takes 21 days to form a new habit. For Josie, a new habit was exactly what she needed. Her old habit had been Isaac, her boyfriend of almost 2 years. She had formed a routine around him: good morning text, hangout between classes, out to dinner on Friday night. She was now faced with the daunting task of learning how to live without him. She hoped that maybe 21 days would be all she needed to get over him. She soon realizes that the problem isn't with the boy who broke her heart, but with herself. She is struggling with her own sense of self-worth and has been, she realizes, for a while. These 21 days become a journey of self discovery for her, not just about overcoming her own broken heart, but also of learning to love herself again. This is a novel about a breakup, but I want to stress how much this is not a novel about a breakup.
I think it should make for an interesting writing experience; it's not my favorite idea for a story, but it's definitely the one that I feel needs to be written right now.
Two hours until the official start of NaNoWriMo for me! I'm so nervous, but excited.
I hope you are having a wonderful Halloween and a wonderful night. Stay beautiful and Keep reading!

Hello Blogging World!
I guess I will start my blog the same way that I started my booktube channel: an introduction. My name is Kristian; you may call me that, or Krissy, or whatever you like. I adore books and writing and anything that has to do with literature and the English language. I am a college Freshmen majoring in...wait for it...English. I'm not really sure what I plan to do with that degree yet. I thought about working in publishing or editing. What I really want is to be a published author. That is the dream.
I read a little bit of everything, but my main genre is probably young adult. Like I said though, I read a little bit of everything. I will be using this blog as an addition to my booktube channel on youtube. You can find that here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTZEIOnZ748vuRc9gGXlMHQ. I post tags, wrap-ups, TBRs, reviews, etc. and I will be using this blog as another platform to do those things as well.
I really look forward to blogging and further connecting with book lovers!
Stay Beautiful,
Kristian (ANerdWithCaffeine)
P.S. If you were wondering about the name: 1) I am a nerd. I love Doctor Who, Star Trek, Harry Potter, etc. I enjoy editing my friends essays for fun. I enjoy working calculus equations for the joy of finding the answer. I'm a full fledged nerd, and I love it. 2) I drink so much coffee that it has replaced the 75% water within my body and caffeine just runs through my veins. It's quite sad really.
